On January 15, the Qinyang-Yichuan Expressway Yellow River Grand Bridge, co-constructed by China Railway Hi-Tech Industry under CREC, was completed as the final steel trough beam was precisely positioned and welded at a height of 13.8 meters above the ground.
The Yellow River Grand Bridge is a key control project on the Qinyang-Yichuan Expressway, which connects Qinyang City in Jiaozuo and Yichuan County in Luoyang, Henan Province. The bridge¡¯s two ends are located near Xinbei Village in Mengzhou and Mayugou Village in Kangdian Town.
The main bridge spans 2,585 meters, features six lanes, and is designed for a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. The main girder uses a trough-shaped steel-concrete composite beam structure, and the construction utilized an independently developed, state-of-the-art incremental launching method. The maximum single-direction launching distance reached 1,285 meters, with a single-span push distance of 100 meters, ranking among the top in domestic bridge construction.
China Railway Hi-Tech Industry undertook the manufacturing and installation of approximately 21,000 tons of steel girders for the bridge.
