On the morning of September 10, local time, Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon visited the construction site of the Phase IV Central Asia Road Link Project, undertaken by the overseas branch of China Railway No.5 Engineering Group.
Accompanied by the Minister of Transport, Azim Ibrohim, President Rahmon inspected the construction site, received a briefing on the project's overview and progress, and experienced a drive on the asphalted sections of the road. He noted that the road was very smooth and praised the construction company's strong road-building capabilities and advanced technical expertise.
At the site, President Rahmon greeted the China Railway No.5 Engineering Group staff in Chinese with a "Ni Hao" and presented a wool carpet handcrafted by local residents to the Chinese employees. He also took photos with them as a keepsake. During his meeting with the project leaders, the president again highly commended China Railway No.5 Engineering Group's road construction technology and safety standards, encouraging them to continue their efforts and achieve even greater success.
The Phase IV Central Asia Road Link Project is located in the Sughd region of northern Tajikistan and spans a total length of 51.2 kilometers. Once completed, the project will play a key role in improving transportation in the Khujand, Kuchkak, and Konibodom areas of northern Tajikistan, and will significantly contribute to the rapid development of the region's industrial economy.
