On September 14th, with the final prefabricated box girder installed on the left side of the Guanmengjiang Waterway Bridge, the main structure of the bridge, built by China Railway No.5 Engineering Group under CREC, was completed.
The Ningde-Shangrao Expressway spans a total length of 353.366 kilometers, starting from the Bayuwu Hub in Fu'an City, Ningde, Fujian Province, in the east, and ending at the Dongtuan Hub in the Shangrao Economic Development Zone, Jiangxi Province, in the west. The expressway consists of sections in Fujian and Jiangxi. The Guanmengjiang Waterway Bridge, one of the key and challenging control projects of the expressway, is 862 meters long. It spans an aquatic farming area, with the main span being a (77+138+77)-meter cantilever continuous beam. Due to complex geological conditions like bare rock and rising and falling tides, the construction faced high difficulty and safety risks. Currently, over 90% of the bridge project is complete, with ongoing construction of cross-beam wet joints, reinforcement welding, and anti-collision barriers. The bridge is expected to be ready for road surface construction by the end of the year.
