CREC integrates R&D, design, manufacturing, system integration, after-sales service into one in the steel structure, railway turnout, shield and supporting, special railway construction equipment, electrification equipment and other mechanical products. The earth pressure balance composite shield tunneling machine which was independently designed and developed under China's "863" plan filled the gap in the field of China's large-scale modern tunneling equipment, and varieties of TBM and shield tunneling equipment for soft soil, hard rock, mud, rectangular, abnormal shaped, dual-mode are at world leading level. Especially the development of super-large section rectangular shield with independent intellectual property rights has refreshed the world record. The self-developed high-speed turnout, 3000-ton floating crane, 900-ton bridge girder erection machine and beam transporting machine, ballastless track laying equipment, 2000-ton portal crane, 4000-ton modular power balance truck are at the world's leading level, and its industrial products are sold in more than 20 countries and regions including the United States, Germany, New Zealand, South Korea, etc.
CREC is a supplier with advanced technology, strong production capacity and large production scale. The Company. integrates many areas, such as R&D, design, product manufacturing, system integration and maintance. The Company also established several manufacturing bases in Shanhaiguan district, Baoji city, Nanjing city, Macheng city of Hubei Province, Hohhot city of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and other places.
China Railway Shanhaiguan Bridge Group and China Railway Baoji Bridge Group, two of CREC subsidiaries, developed various high-speed turnouts, heavy-haul turnouts and speed-increasing turnouts, which include the No.62 turnout with straight pass speed of 350 km/h and lateral pass speed of 220 km/h (the largest and fastest-speed affordable turnout in China). The Company’s R&D as well as production capabilities of turnouts has reached advanced level in the world.
CREC mainly manufactures and installs various kinds of steel structure products for large-scale bridges, municipal bridges, buildings, and platform-free canopies. The Company has produced most of the steel structures for Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge, Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, Jiujiang Yangtze River Bridge, Dashengguan Yangtze River Bridge, and Jinan Yellow River Bridge. The Company’s manufacturing bases in Shanhaiguan, Baoji, Yangzhou, Rugao, Jiujiang, Zhongshan, Wuhan, Hefei and Nanjing have produced 600,000 tons of steel structures.
CREC provides R&D, design, manufacture, assembly and commissioning, maintenance, repair, leasing, excavation and technical consulting services for TBM & corollary equipment. With strong R&D capability and lots of independent intellectual property rights, CREC produced nearly 200 muddy water and earth pressure balance shield machines. Producing 60 TBMs each year, CREC is an outstanding TBM manufacturing company, ranking first in China and second in the world. In 2013, the Company acquired the brand and intellectual property rights of German Wilt company, which not only laid the foundation for TBMs to enter the international market, but also made China Railway Engineering Equipment Group, a subsidiary of CREC, one of three major companies with independent research and manufacturing capabilities of TBM in the world. At the same time, the Company continues to expand international market based on consolidating the domestic market. At present, the Company’s TBMs have been sold to Singapore, Malaysia and other countries.
CREC independently developed cutting-edge railway construction equipment, such as 900t moving, transporting and racking equipment, manufacturing and transportation equipment for non-ballasted track of high-speed railways, complete equipment for laying lines of railway. The large-tonnage box-girder carriage equipment represents one of the most advanced equipment technologies for domestic passenger dedicated lines and high-speed railway construction. The 500-meter-long seamless rail line laying unit has reached international advanced level.
Eelectrification equipment products of CREC include overheads, electric power fittings; rail transit products such as steel-aluminum composite rails; bus bars and induction boards; concrete products such as reinforced concrete pillars, equal-diameter round rods, electric poles, steel columns and steel pipe columns; steel structure products such as hard beams; 220kV single-unit transformers with 180MVA; communication, signal products and various switchboards, switch-gear products, and sound barrier products. The Company provided 95% of overheads for urban rail transit lines built in China. The Sound Barrier, an emerging environmental protection product, was applied to the first high-speed railway in China, Beijing-Tianjin Intercity Railway.
